Schedule of an Overseas Retreat

PRE RETREAT PREPARATION

The benefits of the retreat don’t start when you arrive!

Your commitment to yourself begins with making the decision to join us for these five days in Portugal.

You will receive a full itinerary and preparation documents to help you plan your adventure.

I will send you an invitation to book a one-to-one confidential call with me. This will provide you with space to ask any questions and for me to find out a bit more about your intention for coming to the retreat.

It is important that the group feel safe and supported. I will ensure that everyone who expresses an interest understands and agrees to our expectations and guidelines.

ARRIVAL

Arriving as a group is available, and encouraged, with the shuttle service from Faro airport.

We have arranged a pick-up at 1pm. Details of where to meet your driver will be provided three weeks before the retreat start date.

Please let us know if you would like to make use of the shuttle service so we can plan accordingly.

When you first arrive, you will have spent the day traveling. You may be tired and even feel some apprehension about what’s in store.

Day one will be about acknowledging your journey and the plan is to not overwhelm you with things to do.

Introductions will take place and you will be given a tour of the property.

A light evening meal will be provided to create a space for connections and relaxation before heading off to your room for the night

.

MORNING

Begin the day together during a shared breakfast to help build connection and prepare the body with a nourishing meal.

Guided meditation and sound bath to help you connect with yourself at a deeper level and support emotional release.

Workshop incorporating gentle somatic practice and facilitated discussion. The intention is to support you to feel more settled and comfortable in your body and enhance reflective conversations.

AFTERNOON

Afternoon lunch to continue developing connections to help build trust in an informal way, whilst nourishing your body.

Afternoon activity or excursion with the group encourages bonding over shared experiences.

Independent activity or rest provides individuals space to reflect and settle into their own learning in their own way.

LATE AFTERNOON

An overpacked schedule can cause fatigue. The following options are suggested ways to give yourself permission to take a break.

Rest…

Creative journaling to support reflection.

A walk in nature to embrace the healing benefits of the beautiful surroundings.

Spend time reclining, reading or you may choose to sleep, which is encouraged but not enforced…

EVENING

Nourishing meals cooked by our on-site chef provide guests space to enjoy light hearted reflection and continue to deepen their connections.

Reflection of the day’s events and sharing any insights helps embed the experience and supports integration.

Before closing the day’s activities, guests are invited to join a gentle sound bath for deeper relaxation and aid their quality of sleep.

INTEGRATION

During your time at the retreat, you will have hopefully gained some valuable insights and learned some tools to help you navigate the workplace.

Integration day is about reinforcing new discoveries and providing you with next steps for your journey and explore ways of sustaining and building upon what we’ve experienced together.

We will also enjoy a celebratory activity to acknowledge how far you have come and the contributions you have made during the retreat.

DEPARTURE

The last day of the retreat where everyone says their goodbyes and leaves for their journey home can be an emotional one. We will do what we can to support your departure and provide some practical support.

A shuttle service from the retreat to Faro airport is available but must be pre-booked.

Check-out is at 11am and we suggest you arrange for a flight around 3pm to ensure you have sufficient time to arrive at the airport and go through security.

POST RETREAT SUPPORT

When you arrive home, you may have questions about how to keep going and sustain what you experienced while you were away.

You will be invited to join our online community where you can attend our regular online sessions and in-person events.

This will ensure you don’t feel abandoned and can continue to build upon what you experienced at the retreat.

This will be discussed during our integration day…
